This short but surprisingly varied walk through the Herpse Bossen takes you along different landscapes on a route of about 3 kilometers. You walk through quiet forest paths, over small drifting dunes and around the Klompven, a peaceful fen in the middle of the nature reserve.
Along the way, you also visit the Herperduin observation tower. From here you have a beautiful view of the surrounding forest and the sand drifts. It's a place where you'll want to pause for a moment before continuing on your way.
What makes this walk so enjoyable is that you see many different pieces of nature in a short time. One moment you're walking through the forest, a moment later you're on top of a drifting dune looking out over the area. The route is therefore perfect if you want to take a short but varied walk.
