The buckle, made of zinc die-cast, is sturdy and reliable. However, as with any product with metal parts, prolonged or intensive use may cause slight wear and tear. Regularly check the buckle and spikes for sturdiness. This collar is designed for daily use and training, not as the sole restraint for extreme pulling forces exceeding the stated breaking strength. Never leave your dog unattended with the collar on to prevent entanglement or choking hazards. For puppies or dogs prone to chewing their collars, we recommend supervision.
