The safe lock buckle is sturdy and reliable, but as with any product with metal parts, slight wear and tear can occur due to prolonged or intensive use. Regularly check the buckle and D-rings for sturdiness. This collar is designed for daily use and training, not as the sole restraint for extreme pulling. Never leave your dog unattended with the collar on, to prevent the risk of entanglement or choking. Genuine leather may feel slightly stiffer after prolonged exposure to water; this is a natural characteristic of the material and not a defect.
