Spanderswoud hike – 14 km

The Spanderswoud is located between Hilversum and Bussum and is known for its varied landscape. During this 14-kilometer route, you walk through wooded areas, past open heaths, and over boardwalks that lead you right through the wet parts of the area. It is precisely this combination that makes this walk so pleasant.

The paths are well-maintained, and the area feels spacious and open, without getting crowded quickly. Narrow forest paths alternate with wider avenues, keeping the route continuously surprising. You walk from sheltered sections to open views and back into the forest. The pace naturally slows down here.

This walk in the Spanderswoud is ideal if you are looking for a longer route with lots of variety, without it becoming technically difficult. A nice place to escape the hustle and bustle of the Randstad and truly be outdoors.
